If the measurements are the same, you can make it fit. The campershell I have is off of a 1989 Dodge Ram 250 lol.

I know it doesn't look good, but it gets the job done. The price was right (free) and the OP just wants something for his dogs.

I looked into them and strongly considered it. I use my cap to camp in and possibly soon to transport a dog in. The only reason I didnt get the BesTop was that I also carry a canoe and/or kayaks on top of the cap. I couldnt find a cost effective way (that I liked) of doing that with the soft top cap, so I ended up with a fiberglass cap with artificial rain gutter mounted crossbars.

I'm really thinking about getting one of those soft tops. I know Bestop is a good brand cause I bought all my Jeep stuff from them. Plus I wouldn't have to have it painted but I'm thinking about a roof rack cause I mainly use my truck to pull my horse trailer and need it for storage plus I'm thinking about using it to sleep in..(with the tailgate down of course, that 5.5' just isn't enough room..lol) Thanks everyone's help and input.

The roof rack is the reason I spent the big bucks and got a nice fiberglass cap vs. the Bestop.
My wife and I also sleep under the cap. Thats the main reason I got an 8' bed, not that Im 8' tall, but it is really nice to have room to stretch out and still have room for a cooler, boots, dog, ect. in there with us. Im glad it serves a purpose and works well for us because the 8' bed with the cap is fugly.

Why dont you go ahead and get the BesTop and tell us how you like it.
