Default Cam phaser issue less in 06 to 08?

I tried searching but anything with cam phaser just brings up the problem not an answer to my question. A mechanic told me that sometime is 05 Ford made some changes that made the cam phaser issue less prevalent. I know that there's no better place to find these kind of answers than here so anybody have info on this? I'm looking at buying an 07 King Ranch and wondering if there's better odds of not getting the phaser issue in an 07?

If it has it, make the deal but make a deal that includes them fixing it

For $16k damn straight they will fix. If it's not beyond fixable already. I won't buy one without at least getting it fixed.

That sucks! From what I've read you better get it fixed right away. If you let it go to long it may not be fixable. Will start acting up as soon as you leave the shop. Or if they don't fix ALL the components it will act up again right away too.
