to cam or not to cams? lol
I've got a supercrew 4.6 2v pi 2wd 3.73s. Got a edge evo,cai,magnaflow muffler. fixing to get a cai and Efans.
Question is should I get cams or not waste the money? What IM looking for is more torque and a noticeable idle.....but mostly more power of course I mean who isn't lol

I would advise you do some research on cams. Compare the stock cam profile to that of aftermarket cams. You'll note many move the RPM range up which is also going to move your torque band up. I am not overly familiar with the 4.6, but I'd look at the stage one cams, these should make power from idle and up, which will give you more tq on the bottom, which, with a truck, you want.
Could also look at headers as well, a set of long tubes will give more go. What year is your truck?

I would be hard-pressed to say do it...mainly because the money could go towards headers which would help as well.
There are some cams that offer more bottom end, but generally you will lose on the top end. Are you after more power or more power down low?
A stage 1 or 2 NSR cam would help, especially with a tune. Just don't expect gobs of power.

I could do headers first but.... They don't have a kit for long tubes high flow cats and off road y... well there is one for 1200 I think ekkk. if I could find a off road y and high flow cats to go with some pacesetter long tubes I'd do that. Our muffler shop can barely do simple exhaust lol
