I just noticed that other F150s have lights on the side view mirrors. What year did Ford start putting signals on the side mirrors??? How hard is it to wire a set up? Has anyone done this on their 04'???

I'm Guessing they started with the 04s thats what i have and both signal lights and defrost came stock with the mirrors. If you do not have signals on a 04 or newer you will most likely have to buy mirrors that are pre-wired. As for the wiring through the door, good question. With a ton of experience working in an auto-body shop I know that most vehicle manufacturers will use the same wiring harnesses in all their vehicles, so if the mirror doesn't come wired already its more than likely there is a plug in the door that is unused and ready for a wired mirror to be plugged in. You might look into it further, but from my experience its more than likely that thats how it is.

Id like to know if what TY said is true. I want to buy a factory steelign colum with the volume controls on the wheel and I dont think FX4 came out with that. But I know the Lariets do.

Is this even possible to take one steerling wheel off and replace it with anther with mroe options?????

I need to get me some of them heated mirrors. I could care less about the lights.

i bought an 07 fx4 and they dont have the blinkers and defrosters and i asked then to switch them off of a lariat and the guy tried he said and the wires werent there or maybe he may be lieing.. i was the stock blinkers so bad.. does anyone know an est for both mirrors or did anyone install towing mirrors and dont want the stock ones w/ blinkers?

Just had to buy a new mirror the other day some poor lady riped it right off the truck with her own mirror. It cost me $175 bucks for the driver side and its got defrost and signal. Thats uninstalled they are easy enough to do yourself. So your probably lookin at $350 base price for a set installed.
