It's only at certain rpms which is the strange thing. 1500-1800 is most common. I actually had them send me an extra gasket for the other side of the plastic neck that attaches to the throttle body as the kit comes with one and that's where I thought it was coming from. I will attach a pic. Even put some silicone around the rubber part to see if that was it. I've tried but it isn't going anywhere.

Theres only 2 CAI's made for the 04-08 F150 that DONT require a custom tune and thats the Air Force One and The Airraid. I have the airraid on my 08 and it looks really nice and it does add power. You can go to the airiaid website and get the dyno sheet. It added 22hp and ?? cant remember TQ to the tires!!! I have a buddy that runs a local speed and truck performance shop and got mine new for $235 but u can shop around on the net and find it for a better deal than $350. Ive seen them for $299 before but I put it on and immediately noticed a gain in performance

My S&B DID NOT require a custom tune... It didn't add 22hp either.... It's only rated around 12 or so and 9ft lb of torque... (as they say).... They are pretty much the same design with the closed enclosure...

How close to ambient temp is the s&b pulling when the intake air temperature sensor is taking its reading on the edge PID??..... By the looks of the design it should be similar to the volant pulling 1 degree above ambient temp...(under cruising conditions)

When it's 70 degrees outside the volant is pulling 71 degree air above 30mph... Which is 10 degrees cooler then the best reading I got with the gotts mod on the highway at 64mph...
