Default Don't like my K&N....Which CAI to get??

Right now I have a K&N 57 series CAI and I don't like how exposed the filter is, and the location of the MAF. When it's raining/snowing or just wet outside I'm sucking in water and fouling up the MAF and I'll start to run a little rough. Even when it has been snowing I'll pop the hood and the front side of the filter is just caked with slush. I bought a dry wrap pre filter for it and didn't notice any difference. I do a lot of camping/hunting and the dirt roads I take are very rough and either extremely dry and dusty, or wet, snowy, and extremely muddy so I'd like something that encloses the filter more so I don't have to worry about clogging the filter with mud and getting the MAF all dirty.

Look into volant or S&B they both use a closed box design with hi flow filters

Go back to stock, there are no benefits to a CAI.

^^^^^

This and do the Gotts mod. Stock is already CAI and technically your new one is not since it draws hot under hood air and not cold.

Go back to stock with gotts and a quality high flow filter.

You will be far better and not waste anymore money.

I'd like to try the GOTTS mod but the truck came with the k&n when I bought it so I don't have the factory intake. Do I want to stick with a reusable oiled filter or go with a dry filter?
