So I have a pretty much stock 4.6 F150 and just ordered an Edge Evo. I don't think I want to get into the custom settings yet because I don't want to mess anything up. So which canned setting would you suggest? I hear a lot of people are using #3. I'm just looking for a little more power and wouldn't mind a little better mpg.

Theres been a back and forth debate about running an intake and a canned tuner, considering that the word is that 04-08s are factory tuned lean, and the bigger intake will make it run even more lean. I personally didnt have that problem, but Edge has updated their programmers to supposedly run with some of the popular aftermarket CAIs today. One of my first mods was the old K&N FIP kit that put on back in 07, and i still have it on today. I had the edge evo and it was good for a mostly stock truck. But if you see my signature, its not so much stock anymore. If you're going to start adding mods like a CAI, exhaust, bigger tires and rims, etc, I'd say order a Gryphon from PowerHungry Performance. Having owned my truck from 2006 and experimenting with different mods here and there, I can honestly say that my truck has never ran better and felt more powerful until I got my 87 custom performance tune. Some said it was going to take a long time, I actually got mine within 2 weeks, packaged insanely perfect, and the tune was ready for download in 4 days.
Everyone has their opinion, but its all up to what budget you have and what you feel is right for you and your driving habits. Dont be afraid to use the search function, Ive been on this site for years, and there were many things I felt stupid about until I started asking the multitude of knowledgable members this website has.
Rock on!
