cabin filter?

cabin filter?
Does anyone know if the 2005 has an air filter for the passenger compartment? (aka air conditioning filter) I thought these newer vehicles would have it standard. I don't have a factory service manual to look it up. Speaking of which, does anyone have a link for the real factory manual for the f-150?

A 2005 F150 Lariat 5.4L 4x4 has one, but it requires a certain kit number (Ford install) in order for you to change it. I don't have the kit number, but visit autozone or advance and they can give it to you. Or if your dealer is decent ask them. I won't give mine another dime, let alone let them change the oil for free.

I did get a dvd factory manual for my truck on ebay. An awesome $25 investment even if it takes having to set the clock back on the computer to Jan 2007 before you use the program, make sure you read the fine print! On it I found out my truck does not come with a cabin filter. I'll research on the dvd about the Lariat though, and get back with any info.

In reading my repair manual, it states there is no "cabin filter" for my 2005 F150; however there is a proceedure to spray an arosol cleaner into the ductwork, should you experience a smell caused by AC moisture buildup. It requires you remove the glovebox, then spray this arosol "de-humidifier" cleaner into the intake duct.
