Always use a tap to "clean" the existing holes threads, or to make slightly larger with clean threads. As you found, just using a larger bolt will only make more of a mess of the threads. That hole is still good; you only need to run a slightly larger tap through it, then the oversized bolt. A visit to your friendly local hardware store will net you the results. Bring your old bolt with you, then explain to the person you need an oversize tap and bolt.

I have another question pertaining to these wires. Are or can they be linked to the lights/blinkers? Tonight was the first time I drove my truck where I needed my headlights ever since the ground wire came off and my blinkers don't work because both blinker lights are on but they stay lite and also my dash lights don't light up but my radio light works normally. The other thing is that I can start the truck like normal but I can't step on the brake and put it in drive when the lights are on.

Grounding is a root cause for many electrical issues.

I do not have my paper copy of the Ford Factory schematic book with me (it's at home). I'd have to trace back through those two connections (one of which has two wires connected to one eyelet) to see if one of them also provides the ground(s) to your blinkers.

Strong suggestion: connect them at the very least. Then report back your findings. It might be faster for you to correct stripped hole than for someone to check the wiring schematics. GATORB8 has them stored as an electronic copy I believe, so he may chime in today. In any event, the grounds need to be connected.

If that's G202, I'm suprised you don't have more problems. Here's what grounds there: Indicator Flasher Relay, Brake Shift Interlock, Instrument Cluster, Data Link Connector, Main Light Switch, Power points, Audio Unit, Message center switch, adjustable pedal switch, cigar lighter, parking and disable switch, traction control switch, trailer elect brake control module, and the 4wd switch.

Ok I finally had time to check it out today and I grounded the three wires and the dash lights/blinkers/etc work but the blower still doesn't.
