Haha yea mine does it too, it just sounds like a damper or something, but yea the first time I heard I was like DAFUQ?? HAHA Good for a laugh when I'm in the downy dumps

mine also does it too, i found out that if you turn the thermostat switch to colder you can hear it go away, and warmer it comes back.
THAT and my crappy driverside window motor are the only things i hate about my 08!!

It is the blend door. Mine did it for a long time until the blend door fell off down inside the duct. I assume it is binding when it makes that noise. I took it to the dealer under extended warranty. It is not cheap because they do have a lot of labor removing and reinstall the dash.
