Default Buying A Supercharger!! QUESTION Though!

I found what appears to be a decent used Whipple super charger in the used parts section of the forum (well it atleast appears to be good, or I really really hope it is good haha).

Anyhow, The kit runs $6,000 new and I'm purchasing at $2300.

I may need to buy some additional small parts from whipple but I really think everything will be there and in good working order.

My question is, what am I going to need to be aware of before adding this charger to my truck? Im running a 6" suspension lift with a 3" body lift and 38"x13.5 Tire. Do I need to upgrade any other components or can I leave the truck as is? I don't plan on romping on this thing 24/7 but if I do want to get on it, I want to be able to knowing I'm not going to be breaking ******. The charger claims to put the truck at 475 hp - what are your thoughts on buying a used supercharger and also on any additional upgrades that will be needed.

Getting a good deal on a supercharger does me no good if I end up blowing gears, a rear end, motor, etc!

475 crank hp will not brake your trans or axles..... Does this used kit have injectors, fuelpump/ boost a pump, and programmer?

No plugs, programmer, or pump as far as I can tell.

Does not need injectors. I can get ford racing plugs for $125. Everything else appears to be there.

Good luck! I'm interested to hear how it all works out. I REEEALLY wanted that kit, just couldn't swing it at the moment.

Enjoy

No it doesn't need injectors but it is highly recommended. I have an install manual I can email you if you would like. That will give you a run down of parts. Pm me your email address. Also the plugs can be purchased for a lot less. What year is your truck? I'll show you where to get them. Once you are ready to install it call JDM and get a tune for it. You will be all set.
