Buying Edelbrock charger

Well the squeal came back but is much better with the Dayco belt . With the Gatorback belt it never stopped but with the Dayco it stops after 10 Min of driving and does not come back until it sits for hours . This is what I think it is ... The SC oil is probably thick and it takes time to get it warmed up so it causes more resistance . But once it is thoroughly heated up no more squeal . Even after truck sits 2 hours or so there is no squeal but leave it longer than the squeal is back . What do you think ?
I'm not sure I would agree with the supercharger oil theory.. What I suppose it could be is that one of your idler pulleys are a bit too tight where bolt goes through the bearing... The belt may squeal on cold bearings and than quiet down once warm if its too tight.. You could check the torque specs on the idlers and see if loosening or maybe even tightening the pulley bolt(s) will change the squeaking sound on a cold motor..

You could try adjusting the tension on the belt now that its had some time to stretch a bit..

So I have supercharged another truck and it was still good on fuel while not under boost ... My brother just put a Procharger on his 5.7 hemi and it seems he is doing very well with fuel mileage considering .
My Edelbrock no matter how I drive it has lost 25 % fuel mileage . Even while doing 1700 rpms cruising . I realize I need to get a custom tune and install an AFR gauge and it will help some . What are your results ? Is it pretty much going to be an immediate 25 % harder and I need to accept this or is it an over rich tune ?
Thanks guys ...
