Default Tow Hooks?

Did you have to remove the tow hooks? I can't tell from the pictures.

Post #7. I think these have been the best looking factory d-i-y rims seen yet!
Yean ive been thinking about Powder Coating my rims black. Got a quote from a local guy for $75 a wheel. I was thinking maybe going to the Monsters but it seems like everyone has them. Ive never seem a truck wiht factory 20's powder coated.

Me either. $75 is a good price. Make sure that is for stripping (if needed) as well. I am contemplating getting a set of chrome rims, then powder coating (not factory rims). I was quoted "Chrome removal - $180/set of 4, Black Powder Coat - $89/rim"

I assume you were gonna powder coat the whole rim? Maybe throw a tiny red stripe down on the lip to accent the Fx4? Just my throughts. I could ramble on for days about different things to do to different trucks. I JUST LOVE MY FORDS!

Yes you have to remove the tow hooks for the mounting bracket. But...the guy that did my exhaust today said he would weld them anywhere I wanted to put them. I was thinking on the hitch or frame somewhere?

Where woujld you weld the tow hooks on the frame? And I dont think it is really a need to put it on the hitch since you can just put the tow rope on the hitch its self
