Thumbs up "built Ford Tough"

So, Sunday afternoon, my girlfriend, her friends, and i decided to go out into the farmlands in Miami, and do a little bit of offroading. for those of you that may ever have your doubts about "built ford tough" being the truth, or just a slogan, well, here it is, it is definitely the truth! i was going down a very smooth, very well patted down gravel road, when my rear end started to get VERY loose, i started fishtailing like crazy, and next thing i knew, i went flying through a fence, and hit an avacodo tree doing maybe like 35-40. the tree was about the distance of my truck away from the fence, so you can just imagine about how far in i went etc. the truck, though it suffered a few scratches and dents, was perfectly driveable all the way back home, and still has not leaked a thing, nor does it seem like it will. truth is, the bumper is smashed in maybe about 1 foot in directly in the center, with the perfect mark of a tree. the hood is smashed up, the frame rails pushed through the chrome bumper in the front, the radiator, and tranny fan are both wedged in towards the engine with the bumper pushing on it. the windshield is completely scratched (due to the chain link fence) and so is the entire truck (bed cover, roof, doors, pillars, tailgate) everything, name it and its scratched. i will have some pics up later in the day, but, i will tell you all again, ford really is built tough. a buddy of mine had a similar accident in a ram (he was literally dodging a cat, and he rammed into a pole) go figure, and his car was not drivable and was totaled, and he was going slower than i was. so, ford = the best.

yeah, it seems like im going to have to wait till the end of the week to call the insurance, i get the feeling its going to be somewhere around $10,000 worth of damage. one of the girls that was with me hit a cop car with her chevy (pos) and she did about $7500 worth of damage, and that was at about 10 mph....so yeah, and unfortunately it looks like a may need a completely new paint job, because there are scratched everywhere. it just stopped raining for the first time since yesterday, so im going to see if i can get some pics up in a little while....

I really hate to hear that 06f150lariat. I had my truck for 2.5 months when I nailed a deer going home from work one night. Hit her hard but it just bent in the plastic panel between the bumper & headlight on the passenger side. Didn't do any damage to bumper or headlight. I was all to hell but that's why we've got insurance. I've got a bad history with wildlife anyway. Another deer last year on my motorcycle which resulted in plenty of road rash and a 300lb bear in my cherry 79 F100 Custom my senior year of high school.
