Ive been thinking of putting thogether and making my own full exhaust system. I want to get rid of the four catalytic converters that came stock on the 04-05 and just do two. Ive heard that you can remove the back two and be fine or remove the front two and move the O2s. Also i wanted to do true duals with an x or h pipe the i can make myself. I also have a 1975 chevy that im parting out and it has two thrush mufflers and two good tips (a little rust on them but i plan on painting them black). Any input or suggestions would be appreciated. I dont want to run thrush mufflers but i already have them and dont have much money to spend

My suggestion would be to remove the back 2. Leave the 2 front units alone. you might be able to get some from a newer truck. Do not move the front o2 sensors or cats.
