Is this BS? (3" Body Lift Kit)
I get a call from my mechanic today. He was going to install my PA (performance accessories) 3" body lift along with my 3" level kit. He goes on to tell me that the body lift is to complicated to install and tells me I have to go to truck store to do the lift. My mechanic was going to charge me $380 to install both the level and body kit.
After calling and speaking with the mechanic at this truck store, he quoted me at $500 just for the installation of the body lift. This mechanic says that the body lift I bought is the worst kit to buy and said that my truck (07' F-150 Crew) is one of the worst years for that truck. I have no idea if this is true or not, so I can't talk sh*t. This mechanic goes go on to tell me he would have to cut wires and hoses, and weld or cut brackets onto the frame in order to install this kit. Now I'm thinking I should sell the lift kit and just stick with the leveling kit. I think paying $500 is too much for installation,is it? I definitely don't want anything cut or welded onto my frame. He also says there's no way (not even close) I could run 35" tires without adding the 3" body lift to the 3" leveling kit, is this true?
Thanks for any advice!

$500 is steal IMO, the body lifts on newer trucks is very labor intensive. i would rather install 2 suspension lifts than 1 body lift.
4x4 or 2wd? 35's can run 35's, 2wd 33's with only a leveling kit, however rim bacpace and width are crucial.
