i wouldnt really bother changin them yet at 66000kms but its definitely ur call and i wouldnt think any would break at such low ks.. i ran seafoam thru a tank beforehand and i think that helped alot.. with 140000kms on mine there wasnt alot of carbon on the 7 that came out fine

he said its 2nd hole back driver side...and the boot had alot of rust on it.. water must have got into it....
Wolfpack -
That's too bad you've had one do this on you. Please let us know how it finally comes out. I'll bet some heat probably will do the trick if you do have a good bite on it with the extractor.

well we got it out.. heat wouldnt do it so we ended up using a longshafted die grinder to get in there and take it down as the lower portion was still there to keep the filings from droppin into the cylinder.. once we got it grinded down we chiped away at it and managed to thread out the last of it.. crazy enough the electrode shield came out with it and we didnt even need the lisle tool to take it out.... the threads were damaged a little but the plug threaded in ok.. we torqued it down and all seems fine... Im still kinda concerned about the threads bein damaged and may look at doin an insert of some kind.... The kits i have seen though seem to be upwards of 400$ as it comes with all the tools to drill and tap it out.

Anyone know of a cheaper kit to repair this. cause if thats the case i may jus leave it and jus check it every know and then

Default Broken Plug in Hole, 4.6L

call the guys in lisle and see if they have a tool for it. most likely they do. you need something similar to the one that you have, maybe just a little bigger to fit in there.

i guess your situation is like the one inthe spark plug at the bottom of this pic:

also,check this thread: http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...l-diy-way.html
I have the same problem as the picture of the plug at the bottom, broke off just above the threads. Short of taking off the head, is there a way to get it out?
