Nothing at all can stop a theif; we can only try to make it tough enough so that they move on to an easier prey.

Lenn's idea, as warped as it sounds would be effective in hopefully preventing any damage to your vehicle.

I may just even leave the darn door open....this way they know not to check if it's locked or not...

Default sorry to hear

Sucks the big one...BUT on the other foot, they didn't take those items...but now they KNOW they are there and may want to come back for them!! My last truck I bolted the speaker box to the truck, then used tamper proof screws....the torx with the pin in the center.... I agree 100000000% to choppin off the hands of the one doin it. Wish they made a alarm that called you if the truck was opened while the alarm was set... least you'd get a leg up on when it happened and if you were close enough catch them in the actt...then add a lil street justice! I had a decal on my truck once that said "protected by shoot first security" We ask questions LATER!

My Wife had the same thing happen to her on the 05 screw we had.She was at the gym and left her purse in the truck "even though I told her numerous times to not do it" They smashed the drivers window and snagged the purse in the day time on a busy road in a busy Gym parking lot.Had to buy a new window and get it tinted so I have felt your pain...

Sorry to hear this. I got rear-ended last weekend but the truck can be fixed. My 88 Mustang was broken into once when I lived in CA. Damge to the car was incredible - smashed the hatchback glass after trying to jimmy (bending) the trunk latch. Then they stole CD player, CDs, cassettes and even a front tire/wheel.

What gets me about a break in is how violated you feel afterwards.

i had a 2000 grand am when i was in highschool, had about 300 cds that i had in the car and realized that they were probably gonna get stolen one day so i bought a ipod so i could leave my cds at home. ipod broke about 6 months later so i put my cds back in my car while i waited for a new one. about a week got in to go to school and all my cds were gone. sucked, but home owners insurance covered the property and ended up getting close to 3k back. 3 weeks after that got in the car again to find my subs and amp taken out. couldnt claim that so that sucked even more. went and got the windows tinted %5 and a 2way python alarm put in. haha then wrecked the car 3 months later.

get yourself some big toothless fat chick, and everytime you go somewhere leave here in the truck. works better than a dog.

I don't leave stuff in the truck like that if I can avoid it. Less likely to get broken into if it is empty.
