Broken Axle Tube???

Broken Axle Tube???
I just realized that the right front axle tube on my 2005 F150 is freakin' broke... not just cracked, but actually broken in two at the mounting flange! I don't off-road, drive hard, lend my truck out to friends etc... also I not only take great care of my truck but periodically slide under it to inspect for leaks, loose items and anything else that isn't right... just did that a week ago and all was good. now this axle tube is broken... any suggestions on what the heck happened...?

Not now, it's already getting worked on... pretty simple though, broken all the way around the tube at the flange that mounts to the diff. Still wondering what the heck caused this...

Okay... went to the shop today to look at the all the parts. Although they are scratching their heads as well regarding why this happened, the only thing that they can think of is possibly the leveling kit, doubled with the fact that while towing my 7-8000lb. camper trailer going down Washington's poorly repaired highways, that at very uneven pavement jobs, and the wonderful "bucking" action they create, might cause the suspension to over extend what it is suppose to be at regarding the angle of the drive axles to the front end... in the past (not recently) I have had problems with the CV boots splitting. They did say that they are only speculating and that they have never seen this before, especially with a vehicle that never goes "off-road". They are suggesting either removing the Daystar leveling kit, or get limiting straps... anybody have any thoughts, ideas, input...?

I know, and they pretty much said the same thing... it is all that they could think of though... no other expinations aside from the fact that maybe from the factory this axle tube had a flaw when it was casted and it finally cracked out/broke. They suggested this as well, we are all scratching our heads over this. it is frustrating as *ell, not to mention very costly! AAAARRRGGGHH!
