Broken 12volt plug in
Hello all. So awhile ago I fried my 12 volt plug in (2006 F150 Lariet) I've checked the fuse and it seems to be fine, any ideas on where to look next? Will I have to get the whole thing replaced? Thanks!

Hi,
Fried?? as in sparks and smoke? or just doesn't work?
Could it be whatever you are trying to plug in? I have had 2 cell phone adapters that were difficult to get working in the truck. I pretty much had to jamb them in using more force than I should have.
Which plug is it? (My truck has 3) do the others work with the device you are trying to use?
Do you have a 12 volt test light? You can get a cheap one at the parts store for 3-4 dollars. you will need this (or a dc voltmeter) to do a simlpe test.

The ones I've seen are easy if you can get to the back of it. the portion behind just unscrews and out it comes. the wires should pull off and push back on.
Is it the one on the lower part of the center control panel or the one in the right side of the dash ?
