Default 6" lift kit really equal 6 inches?

I'm trying to do some math here as I'm "planning a build"...I know stock trucks are at the 75.5 inch mark for stock height. So if just to be safe we round it up to 76 inches and put a 6 inch lift kit that puts me at 82 inches...If it indeed does exactly add 6 inches....Which leaves me 2 inches of clearence (My garage is 84 inches).

Also this leads me to another question for say..does a 34" tire add 1 more inch of height then a 33" tire?

Most 6" kits aren't true 6" of lift. I believe most come with a 3-4" block for the rear in fact.

An inch of tire height gives half an inch of lift.

Most 35" tires are only 34.5" tall also.

going from a 33" to a 34" will be an inch taller in the diameter so that is 1/2" on each the bottom and top... so only 1/2" taller

I know some people end up with the truck nose high after they put a six inch lift cause the back as raider said doesnt actually get lifted 6". If you dont like it nose high you can get an add a leaf to give the back more height (I think raider did that)
