Yes, towing loads without trailer brakes or using brakes to slow the truck when going down grades accelerates it. Most times people aren't even conscious that they ride the brakes a lot. My girlfriends car gets new rotors once a year because she drives with two feet and doesn't feel like changing her habits. Most times you can have your rotors cut to true them out, if you find it happening again, get some ceramic pads and slotted discs and you shouldn't have the issue as often.

I have a 08 and got it used and within 3000 miles my truck was shaking like you would not believe. The dealer cut them before they sold the truck but I guess the guy before me was just so hard on it, ended up getting all new rotors and pads because the owner before me actually cracked a pad. But dealer coverd it all. All fixed now though and have put 15,000 on the ones I have now and not even the slightest bit shakes. Hope that helps.
