Default brakes

I'm tired of all the brake dust on my rims so I've been considering switching to ceramic brake pads and rotors. Are they worth it? I know they cost a bit more and don't last as long but I would like your guy's opinions on switching to ceramic. Thanks

I personally really like the ceramic brakes. I am sure someone on here will recommend a brand and such for you however, now that I use ceramic I will never go back. They stop faster and going up and down the mountains in Colorado and Alaska, they always heat test well below the checkpoints temp for making you pull over. I always think it's funny driving by all those people with hot brakes. Of course you downshift to help out but, I am sold on the ceramic brakes benefits.

I'm running HAWK ceramic with EBC rotors...this combo works very well with little to no dust...very nice stopping power.

Also another question if I go about replacing all my brakes and rotors with ceramic ones, I know it varies by brand but can you give me a rough ball park price estimate?

Brake dust accumulation looks brown...

I have Satisfied brand brake pads on my car, less dust. Got them from tirerack.com for about $100 for all four corners, running stock rotors still. I've noticed that my wheels are definitely cleaner, with about the same braking performance.

Centric or Powerslot rotors and either Hawk or Wagner thermo quiets for the least dust. Check Summit for a ballpark price on pads and rotors.

I have heard that ceramics take longer to heat up, and you don't have full stopping power until they do. Is that true?

So the ceramic pads work great? I recently had new front brakes and new rotors put on and when I asked about the ceramic pads they guy said that they cause your rotors to warp faster.. is this true?
