Hmm, interesting. The dust is the reason why I was going to check out the Hawks, since I'm tired of the amount of dust these stock pads put out. I do know others on this site recommend a Napa brand pad that stops good with little dust.

I'd give them the Performance Ceramic Pads a try, Honestly, Hawk pads are awesome, they're long lasting great pads. The PC pads could be dustless, ask a few people at parts desks.
