Default Brake light issue

Hi all

I have a 04 F150 FX4 crew and I'm having an issue with my brake lights. When I depress the pedal while the truck is on the flicker. As I depress the brake pedal, they then work fine. Only happens when I start to depress the pedal.

Also this doesn't happen when the truck ignition is off.

Any ideas?

Kind of thinking it is a resistor or something under the dash

Any suggestions will be helpful

Thanks
Jack

Like techrep said maybe the brake switch is going. I have seen similar happen when an alternator or battery is not fully charged. I know that sounds crazy! My friends BMW would do that after hr bought it because the battery wasn't at a full charge. If you're driving long distances and your battery is topped I can't see that bring the case. Is it a continuous flicker? Constant, flickering at the same frequency?

I have the same issue. Did you use that fix or did you buy a new one?
