Default Brake booster vaccum hose

This hose came loose while I was removing the drivers side valve cover. I have no idea where this hose goes in the back of the manifold. I look from under the car and don't see where it goes, and if it goes back there I don't see how to get it back in, there's no space to work back there. Has anybody changed this hose before?

By the way, is a 2005 5.4L.

Here's the picture, right hand side goes to the Booster, the other side I believe goes to the intake manifold but I don't see where.

This answer page has an attachment [PDF] with some pictures and instructions... Hope it helps. I would thread the line down from the top, attach the upper end of the line and that should help locating the lower attachment point (along with the linked info).

60DRB, Thanks very much, that's some great info. I don't have the clamps on my hose and that's why it came off, I guess the previous owner didn't take it in for service when it was recalled, I wonder if I can still take it to the dealer to do the recall work.

The dealer will always do recall work regardless of the ownership

I got it i, but it fits too loose. Now that the truck is running I will take it to the dealer so theydo the recall work and fix it right.

Very welcome. I wasn't sure if yours had the clamps or not. I need to look at mine now too!

Hi, thanks for the info. I am doing cam phasers and could not figure out the booster pipe removal. this recall info makes it much clearer.
