Anybody have any other ideas on what it may be??The breaks work fine and so are the abs works fine also.My truck is at 51k and this is the first problem i have had with the truck so far.

If anybody has any ideas on what it may be,by all means leave all the ideas on thbis post and me and my friend can start trouble shooting and narrowing down what it may be as all the work will be done after his shop closes with his boss not there and what way we can do it for free.So any ideas at all yall?????
i had a wonderful little 98 reg cab f150 that i put 125000 miles on before i sold it. the abs light came on at about 50k and NEVER went off. i cant believe the stupid bulb never burned out at least. i had to replace 4 coil packs on the engine over the years but that darned abs light bulb never freakin burned out. its amazing! if only they could use that technology on everything!! anywho... mechanic did diagnostics and narrowed it down to one of two sensor modules that had gone out. as in your case no problem with the actual brake system just a stupid module out. like i said i put another 75000 miles on the truck never had any brake troubles what so ever but that abs light was still shining bright as ever when i sold the truck!

Is there some type of brake relay/ switch on these trucks? If the OBDII code said brake switch I would try to find that switch. Since ABS is part of braking system I could see why it would also turn on the ABS light if the brake switch or system had a problem.

I have a similar problem with my ABS light. It has been on for awhile now. Perhaps I should check the fuse and see if there is an issue there.

This isn't always true as I am riding around now with my ABS light on only, no brake light. This is in an 06 XLT. My problem is because of aftermarket front rotors. Apparently the distance for the exciter ring isn't set to factory standards and I havent been in the mood to drop $75 on spindle nuts just to have my light go off. All works perfect (just the fronts lock up, rather then anti-lock but I still stop in time).
Might have to pull the fuse too since that seems to be common (and easy to do).
