Bout to pull my hair out!
Ok. So I buckle down today and laid 300 bucks down on a throttle body for a 2004 F150 5.4 4x4 at the stealership. Reason being that my truck kepps on going into failsafe mode and P2106 pops up on the scanner. Said I had to have a new throttle body. Just to save money on labor, I buy the part myself and install it. Hook everything back up, fire it up, run it at idle for a min, then with the a/c on for a min and start to back up. Blam! Failsafe mode again! WTH? Take it and get it scanned again. Throttle acuator control / LIMP MODE. What do ya ll think is up with this truck?

Happened to me. I have an 07 HD. Went through the run-around with the dealership too. Bought a throttle body just like you, and it also didn't solve the problem. They finally found the solution. My PCM some how burned up or got a surge. After the re-flash and new PCM, it ended up around $700. So a solid grand for everything. I'm sure you can find a used one for a fraction of the price though. Good luck man.
