Nice indeed! You would be hard-pressed to find a deal like that anywhere. How did you keep the miles soo low? Did you park it like many did when gas prices went north of $3.50?

And does lift kits and different sized wheels void warranties? (yeah, I am ignorant in that regard)

I'm not the most knowledgeable about this topic, but yeah they could void the warranty. The lift and larger tires can put extra/abnormal stress on various components, basically shortening their life. With that, Ford is unwilling to warranty a product that has been modified outside their control. Similar to a tuner/programmer adjusting the stock settings can cause premature failure.

Now I've seen sometimes it's dependent upon the dealer. Some dealers will file the claim and get it covered, some will not. Many times if you have the lift/larger tires done by a certified dealer tech, they will warranty it. Example is they tried to up-sale me on an S/C when I bought my F150 back in 2006, which would have been covered by the factory 3yr/36K mile warranty, only if installed by the dealer.

But it's not always so cut and dry. They can deny you coverage, but at the same time if you fight, they would have to proove that the lift/tires were the cause of the failure. Most times though people are unwilling to fight.

I live rather close to work and we use my wife's car to go to the lake on the weekends cause we have a mooring so I don't have to trailer the boat all summer. I've been putting about 6000 miles a year on my trucks for many years.
