Default Body Lift, Yes or No?

Found a slightly used 3" BL. Gu uy wants $180 by itself or $500 installed with warrenty from his shop. Good idea or bad idea? I want to look of a lift but dont need to suspension clearance. Already have 3" level with 315/70/17's

I say no.. I absolutely hate how you can see the frame underneath the truck. The only way I think it looks decent is to have the gap guards, all relocation brackets, and put running boards on. But not like you normally do or the running board will be 3 inches lower. Make some custom brackets and so it's closer to the body and covers the frame.

Also you can install it yourself. Not hard to do and will save you a lot of money.

500 installed seems really reasonable. If u want some more clearance, that seems like a pretty cost effective way to do it. Always heard that body lifts aren't that much cheaper after install cost than suspension lifts, but that seems reasonable.

$500 is a deal considering roughcountry sells just the body lift for $549. Although im not a huge fan of BLs to each his own just depends on how you feel about it.

Ive just heard horror stories about.how bad the ride is. It has all gap gaurds and relocation brackets. I want the look of a 6" lift but really cant drop $1500 right now so I thought this would be a great deal because if I eventually get a 6" itll be a 9"

I havnt had any problems with mine! I have really bad warped rotors so I don't know what is comming from the body lift if any. It's a cheap and easy lift I have no problem with it
