Default Body Lift Vs. Suspension Lift

Hey Guys,
I was just looking at some body lifts for my truck. I was reading on another forum that some people think that body lifts look tacky and don't look to good on our trucks. What exactly is a body lift? Anyways I just want my truck to sit higher so what do you guys recommend?

you can do a leveling kit.

all a body lift does is raise the body 3" above the frame.

Body lifting these trucks can turn into a suspension lift budget if you take it to a shop. Keep in mind your stock hitch and exhaust will sit 3" lower than the body unless you do the necessary work to relocate such things. They don't look tacky if you do all the work to move everything up the 3". Like Atom said just get a leveling kit if money is tight and you want to stuff some bigger meats.

There's a number of leveling kits to choose from, depending on your budget. Shop around

For sure, i have heard guying paying 1000 bucks for an installed body, that is insane! I would never run a body lift personally, i just find it funny when a guy buys a brand new truck and then cheaps out and runs a body lift, lol.

Ya I agree with ya there, I body lifted my old 93 ranger, 95 bucks later I was on 33s lol

To drop all this money on a newer truck and skimp out on a lift doesn't make sense.

Ya I agree with you guys. If I want to lift it I will do it the right way. For now though I just want to level it. Should I go with a 2.5" or 3" leveling kit and what brands do you recomend?
