From what i have seen and done. Most body lifts run from $300-500 depending on brand.I have installed 9 body lifts myself and their a pain in the Ars,lol.Places want 700 -900 alone to install body lifts so thats when i started doing them myself for friends and then some of the chevy ppl around here.So 1k isn't to bad at all.I charge 300 and a 24pack of beer for when i do them.Just take time do them.If you mechanically inclined, and can set aside at least a day, same yourself the money and it yourself.Just make sure to have a friend helping ya and plenty of beer

Yea I heard body lifts weren't any good if you actually mud or tear around off road a bit. I keep hearing they indent and kink into the body if you buy cheap ones but this is only what I've heard I've never actually seen this soo hopefully someone tells me otherwise cause I was thinking of doing the same so I don't raise my center of gravity too much

I just got the Performance Accessories 3" Body Lift installed on my 06 XLT 2WD. The reason I had this installed is because for the Fords, you remove the entire interior, seats, console, and the bolts go through the board. Too much for me when you take into the rest of the install. I paid 420 from eBay for the kit, and 700 including tax for the install. 1K doesnt seem that bad at all. Hope this helps.
