Default Blue Front Parking lights

Is it illegal to replace the amber parking lights with blue ones? Live in New York State. I was told I'd get pulled over and tickets issued? Any input?

Well I've had them in my truck for well over a year now and I've had no problems with them. They light up white not blue when they're on and of course I live in KY...

Yea it is illegal. Like ATOM said, Blue is something that cops see and will pull you over for right away.
