I have an 05 supercrew & the light that lights up the gear selection on the shift lever is burned out. How do i access the bulb without damaging the plastic trim that surrounds the shift lever?

There's a thread on this. But if you have a center console you open the storage compartment and see where it latches. Just take something and pop the front of the console off and the lights right there to the left of the shifter. Took me about five minutes.

Irish I still can't figure out how you popped off that area around the shifter. Did you just pull up or is there some kind of tab?

Where the console latches stick a flat head screwdriver in the notch and pry up. Just lift up it won't break, just watch out for the shifter button. The light is under the Chrome surround. The bulb twists out. It's a standard 194 bulb
