I own a 2004, F150 Supercrew, new body style. I have been searching for my Block Heater cord inorder to plug my truck in so I can deal with -40 degree weather we are presently experiencing. I cannot find it anywhere which is becoming very frustrating. Why Ford would hide this so well is beyond me. I have looked and felt all around the opening in the front bumper where it seems to be located on the F350 but it is not there on my F150. Any help would be appreciated, pics would be even better.

Are you sure it has one? I don't live inthe North, but usually gas engines don't have block heaters unless they are installed aftermarket or at the dealer.

I have to agree with NGM... are you sure there is a block heater? It is bitchin to do without one.

When I moved from the Prairies to the Maritimes, I never much thought about my block heater. That was until the temp dipped way down below freezing.

I went out and plugged my mini van in, just like I did when I lived out west. My next door neighbor's kid came out the next day and seen the power cord and wondered what it was like to drive an electric car.

do you mean like a tb heater where you got the coolant flowing through the tb like gm did in the 80s/90s

Mine is factory installed and it right in front of the radiator.
If you raise your hood your plug end is right there. You really don't have to open the hood to get it.
I live in Minnesota and have needed it a few times this year.

No they are talking about a block heater. It takes the place of a freeze plug usually and heates the coolant so it cant freeze and helps the heater work faster.

well i got a 91 f-150 and mine is coming out of the grille where i got a box and several plugs, but try living in the farthest north state there is ALASKA and tell me what you think

My truck has one too.. They are really good at hiding those things. My father went to get one put on his 2001 Impala, the mechanic called him to tell him it was zip tied against the firewall... Now thats an honest mechanic.

My 2005 STX does not have one...it must be a "location" deal. Trucks shipped to the south won't have; those to the north do?
