I wouldn't paint it. But, I have seen guys put that wire mesh that's on screen doors on the radiator to blacken it out. This also protects the radiator.

Ya I was also thinking about doing that. Im definitely going to try and figure something out.

how much did you pay for this grille i am looking at getting one and do you have to do any cutting to get this grille in?

I believe the grill was around $150 and there wasnt any cutting required. You just have to get the stock grill out of the surround and replace it with the billet one. It was kind of a PITA but not too hard. One thing I like about it is that it makes the grill area way more sturdy than it is with the stock plastic in there. I no longer feel like Im going to break the grill off when opening and shutting the hood.
