I have the AMI locking in chrome. I removed the polished no lock version, which I have no use for now. I only bought it for the lock not realizing it was chromed. When I went to return, the store was out of businnes with a note it's doors. The lock needs some tweaking. Well the tongue as the call it. I tried bending but the didn't resolve. I had to grind about 1/16" of the rounded end to where it looks flat with rounded courners.

I think the original post may be missing some nuts holding the plastic surround for the gass tube or one of those parts. Mine is not at the perfect angle as the bed seams to lean inward and the doors does not but it does not rub. Neither door rubbed.

Instructions:
Remove the 4 screws and remove small rectangular plate
slide plate outward away from truck
slide new aluminum plate with arrow facing truck as far as possible.
the allen head screws should be just at the edge (think they are stoppers)
screw 4 screws through rectangle bracket on to door.
test key lock
unscrew tongue and slightly bend away from truck
when that doesn't work, shave end of tounge slightly (no more then 1/16")
screw tounge back on and test key lock

You wont be disappointed. Good quality and with the non lockng version you wont have to deal with the trimming required to make the locking ones work correctly. should be able to remove the old door, and get the new on one in about 5 mins

I've got the chrome non-locking one from AMI and it went on like a breeze so you should have no problem.

Anyone interested in the black locking door its $30 shipped or make me an offer.

That's all except for the pair of "keys". The T shaped thing replaces the rubber part. take off the nut, slide the screw in the hole, reach under and behind and slide plastic sleeve of screw then screw on nut.

I have a ploshied aluminum no key to sell as well.
