Default Better Brakes for my F150

Looking for some advice on a better brake set up for my F150. My son is about to inherit it (turning 16) and I want to upgrade the brakes. I am looking for something mid range, not a high performance top of the line system, if you tell me the stock is fine with better pads or something that's what I will do. I have looked at aftermarket rotors and there are so many at different price levels I thought it best to ask the experts on here what they would do.

2006 F150 - XLT 4X4
Level kit w/ aftermarket wheels and LT325/60R18 Nitto Terra Grapplers

Last time I changed the pads the rotors looked pretty worn, rusted and flaky so I for sure need to change them either with stock or a better set up if feasible.

Thank you everyone in advance - this is truly a great site!

Baer decela rotors, hawk ceramic pads. Then if you really want stopping power get ssbc quick change calipers and braided brake lines.

I put raybestos metalic pads on with new stock rotors and very happy with pedal feel, initial braking and fade.
Last time I did ceramic I hated the feel and initial bite.

So far 30000 kms wear is great and brake dust isn't too bad.

Last summer I installed the NAPA adaptive ceramic pads with their premium rotors and have been extremely happy with them. No break dust and the truck seems to stop very similar to the factory pads.

I just installed raybestos rotors and Wagner MX1083 pads

and

Brakes are much much better, I replaced nearly new stock pads with this combo and its amazing the stopping power difference. The Wagners are a very low dust pad, very highly rated. Just be sure to use brake cleaner to clean all the shipping oil off your new rotors before putting them on the truck, found out several years ago the folly in not doing that.
