Best/strongest billet grille to buy?? Pics
Well i have the stock lariat honey comb grille as ofnow and simply kind of over it. I have always liked the billet grilles ever since i was a child and was thinking of purchasing one fairly soon. It will go on my 04 crew cab:
Now, the thing is i have heard they are fairly easy to break the tabs off etc. I would totaly dicth the stock plastic insert and go with a billet grill thats flush with the chrome ring. Anybody have any preference or complains? Thinking of just going off ebay as a i have a 20$ in eBay bucks. Yes i searched but nobody talks about durability and i will most certainly need that.
Thanks,
kyle

T-Rex makes a solid billet grille compared to some of the stuff I've seen. Just make sure the company you choose uses a solid stock vs. extruded. I've had T-Rex upper and lower billet grilles for over 6 years now and their as good as new.

Are you looking at getting a bolt over or an actual grille that you have to cut out your existing grille?
I have to Bolt over on top and the HD replacement on bottom. The bottom billet mounts like the factory Harley one did. I can't help you there...

I want the grills that line up flush with my chrome grill surround. I would like to ditch the plastic (honeycomb) grill, And replace it with a billet.
