I went with the champion brand spark plugs because they are one piece and won't break as easy as the motorcraft and that's what everybody has been having problems with. The champions cost a little bit more but you won't have the hassle of broken plugs

I just ordered the Motorcraft SP515 from RockAuto.com for $9.50 a plug. Ive read too many bad reviews of the Champions failing prematurely to feel comfortable buying them.

Champions are hit or miss.. Ya they are one piece, but i would rather have a good quality plug then one that can foul easily.. Plus as long as you put the antiseize on the new motorcraft plugs you will not have the same problem getting them out the second time

By application after market plugs would be the proper heat range and you should always inspect the spark plug gap before installation. I always put a little bit of anti-seize on them before they go back in, just good practice. Usually when you see cyl miss fire that I have found is when ppl but non platinum or non iridium spark plugs in when the vehicle originally came with them from stock. Ps. Autolite makes motorcraft spark plugs just FYI. Motocraft plugs a a good choice tho.

Yes, Autolite makes them, but to Ford's spec. I just had mine done last week. I went with MotorCraft plug. On this one, I would stick with original equipment.

Sp515 is stock heat range. Any reason why we couldnt run a little colder plug like sp509/507. I have seen better TB response and lower KR w/ colder plugs.

I've used Bosch plugs in all my vehicles. Curious if anyone has tried those e3 plugs.
