I have an sct with custom tunes and it kicks ***.
Te only downfall is that it doesn't show info like the edge. Like trans temp another things

I haven't tried anything but the Edge CS, myself. I read all the threads and was looking for basically the same things you are. The Edge comes with three basic tunes that you can play with an modify to your liking. I'm using Level 2, which is for towing, but also gave me better gas mileage; as much as 1-2 MPG in mixed driving. I also like the Mileage Coach, which helps "train" you to go light on the pedal. I also like the alarms feature, which you can set for a lot of different reading. I use that to remind me when I go over 70 MPH.

i have a question about the edge/ gryphone programers....... does the tunes on these programers fix the lazy drive by wire throttle in the low rpms? i know that (just like the 05-09 gt mustangs) the FBW throttle under 3200 rpm only opens 47%. i want 100% throttle when i push the pedal 100%, i could care less about tq management.......thanks for the input guys.

For the Edge, yes, throttle response is much quicker and if you want full open, you can enter the setting yourself. I tried the Performance tune for a single tank of gas and IT IS AWESOME! There are two threads I like where people talk about their settings and some have even listed out all the options for their favorite tunes. Do a Forum search for "Edge Evo Settings" and "Egde evo programmer settings". (and yes, the actual thread posting spelled EDGE incorrectly. Very tough to find!)

Yes the edge got rid of that goofy throttle lag. I came from a truck that actually had a throttle cable... So you knew exactly what you were getting when you pushed on it. Now in my opinion Ford on my 06 did a terrible job tuning the drive by wire feel. Terrible lag, like it was trying to guess what I wanted.
The edge cts I got, really helped with this! Between this and the transmission shifting are my favorite things about it. The extra power is very very nice.
Edge claims this for power levels from their website:
Level 0: Stock
Level 1: Transmission Tuning Only
Level 2: 15 Horsepower - 20 Foot Pounds of Torque
Level 3: 35 Horsepower - 45 Foot Pounds of Torque
Supports Cold Air Tunes for Air Force 1 4”, Air Force 1 3”, S&B, AEM, AirAid, K&N, AFE
I will tell you just by feel that the truck feels quicker. I also have picked up 2-3 MPGs. I was getting right at 14 in town, now on my last 4 tanks, I am at 16 all in town. Now on the highway I got 15-16. Now on the two trips I have taken I got 17-19. I also got new tires as well so some of that may be from the tires. Not sure.
I got my CTS off of ebay for under 300. I made sure that ebay would cover it, if it didn't work as described, which was perfect. And yes it worked just fine.
For all those tanks above I used level 2, with some custom settings. I am now using level 3 and really am liking it so far. I don't go 100% throttle hardly ever. Too early to tell if the MPG's go up with this level or not. I only have 80 miles on the tank...

X2 I've had the Edge CS in for a month on level 3 and damn I love this thing. its like my truck chugged down a RED BULL and snorted a line.... really made a huge difference, that you can feel and here. you will see people going with the Gryphon and custom tunes and get great results too.
