Default Best power adders for 5.4??

Hey guys I was wondring if anyone knows the best way to give my 05' f150 a little more power. I was thinking long tube headers a CAI and a tune? I did this on my car and it added around 40 rwhp. Just kicking around some ideas. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Cat back duals a edge or sct tuner would be the best upgrade for the money I wouldn't do a cai unless you got a tuner,

Thanks I was thinking full exhaust (headers , hi flo cats and full cat back) not sure though. I havent seen it on a 5.4 so I don't know how it would do.

Why no cai without a tune? I have an K&N on mine with no tune and haven't had any problems so far.

Under drive pulleys and electric fans from troyer performance are another option. You'll get about 15hp.

Just so you know the modular motors don't gain much from shorty headers. You need to go full length to see any potential gains, but if you do headers you need to do the rest of the exhaust or your waiting your money. A tuner is the best bang. And responds very well with a tuner who knows their stuff like php or Eric brooks at brooksspeed, a CAI will help it breath but a person can just do a $15 Gotts mod and get just as good air flow. Mod motors love cams. But all in all the best mod is a pd blower

Longtube headers, true duals with an X-pipe, a tune from someone who knows there stuff (mentioned above) add to that list JDM and Troyer performance. Troyer is the only person who I will let touch my truck. But thats my preference. A good CAI with an enclosed box, efans and underdrive pulleys. All good but a lot of money for a small gain. 50-70rwhp.

Cams might get you 30-40hp and will cost you out the butt $700-900 plus the dyno tune $300-600. Poor investment in my opinion.

Forced induction is the way to go. Pick up a used SC kit for around $3,000 and gain 140-160rwhp and call it a day. Or design your own turbo kit.

Supercharger was the only thing that showed me Noticeable Power Increase

Agreed, mod motors are motors with potential the only real differences between them are the head design. Spend the money on heads and cams to make some noticeable power or buy a blower for almost the same amount and be done with it. Stock heads have always been restrictive on modulars
