Edit: Actually, the holster would need a restraining strap and be large enough that the gun wouldn't be considered "in plain sight". But something like that would still be possible.
yes sir, you are correct. It amazes me that someone would risk serious prison time rather than read the laws concerning handguns in your vehicle for your state. I totally understand protecting you and your family but there are other issues at stake here. I would truly hate to see a "Good Guy" go to prison even when he is "doing the right thing". Sorry for the rant. Stay safe, be smart.

My son and I were pulled over for speeding outside of Anniston, he was speeding and as soon as the Trooper got to the window my son informed him he had a concealed weapons permit and there was a pistol under his seat. The trooper went into dumb mode and asked why the gun wasn't visible, DUH, concealed permit.

In most states concealed carry refers to personal carry (not in a vehicle). There are other laws in place that cover transportation of a firearm. Some of the laws are vague and contradictory but never the less law.( In florida you you can transport you firearm in your vehicle and have a firearm in your home but if you live in an apartment your not supposed to carry it in common areas. So how would one get it in to their apt? )

AL law says your CC permit allows you to carry your pistol/revolver in your vehicle and/or concealed on your person. Period. The rest of the state allows open carry, depending on local/federal ordinances. Some businesses are kind of snippy about that...

I put all my guns in between the seat and me and iv been pulled over and the cops say "hey nice 1911" or when i have my .357 "God dam son what are you doing with the smoke wagon!" Ha cops are chill here. ITs so normal for every one to carry guns. And its not like they look at me and see a ghetto gangster looking mother ****er. And the beer thing was wayyyyy deep in the woods.
