Question Best Oil Filter Wrench for 2006 F150??

The last time I changed the oil I destroyed the oil filter housing with the tool I had, and my hands took a beating. Does anyone know the best wrench to use on a 2006 F150. There is just not enough room around the filter.

If you use motocraft oil filters they have a cap that will fit over the head of the oil filter and it goes into a socket wrench. Works pretty well.

Just need to train all the people in all the service shops. SCREW ON UNTIL CONTACT AND THEN 3/4 TURNS MORE! No more is necessary.

one reason I don't go to places to get my oil changed lol. another reason, they don't know how to tighten a drain plug properly.

I change a lot of oil filters, and have used every contraption there is. They all fall short in some area, especially when jiffy lube tightens the crap out of a filter. Ever had to hammer a screwdriver through a filter as a last ditch effort to remove one in a pinch? I always come back to my handy strap filter. It fits any size filter up to 6 inches and doesn't destroy the filter getting it off. I bought one just like this one at NAPA a few years back, its never let me down.

Combine it with a longer 1/2" extension and you can use it anywhere, then just roll it up when you're done and it tucks away nicely in the tool chest.
