Best lift for offroad
Hey guys, right now i have a 3" leveling kit with 35" tires and i am looking to get a 4"-6" lift on my truck to improve its offroading capability. I have read some threads and im getting mixed reviews about the 6" giving to high a center of gravity making it worse than the 4". So in your opinion whats the best lift for offroad performance 4"-6" and what brand?
Thanks.
Thanks.

4 years on my Fabtech, probably spend 15% offroad. Deer season I'm pretty rough on it, lots of old steep logging roads and lava rock trails in 4Lo all day long. No problems yet, but I'll replace the shocks soon. The front diff skid plate is all scratched up but not bent, its held up pretty well to rocks. The front suspension squeaks over bumps but other then that its fine. The factory UCA ball joints wore out quickly though, I replaced those with Camburgs.

yep thats what i was going to say was fabtech is supposed to be pretty good. that is what i am looking at getting with the 6" bilstein struts and the 3-4" bilstein shocks in the rear.

are they that much better than normal shocks? Usually you can adjust the ride height on those right? but if you were going for just a 6 inch lift I can't see why you would really need to change the height.

oh no...im sure $1000 coilovers are definitely worth it..the ride is probably much better than just having a coil spacer on top of the top struts...they allow for more travel and are adjustable so in a 6" kit with new coilovers you can usually get 8" in front. its not worth it to me since im not going to be offroad enough or need the extra wheel travel
