OK to clean MAF without unplugging?
Hi all,
I went to clean my MAF for the first time and the plug was stiff so I tried to use a screwdriver to dislodge the plug from the sensor. Having more motivation than brainpower, I tried to muscle it out and I broke the tab that keeps the wiring harness plugged into the sensor.
I don't want to replace that harness because it looks like a pain to do. My question is this: is it okay to spray and clean my MAF without unplugging it from the wires? I want to clean the sensor, but I'll just leave it alone if I'm going to damage the truck by spraying it while it is still plugged in.

Maf Sensor
I would go ahead and spray it while its connected but i would recommend disconnecting the battery so there is no charge running through, and don't connect battery again until its completely dry.
