Default Benefits of switching from ethanol

I recently bought an 07 FX4. It's new to me. I'm going to assume it's been ran only on 87 with ethanol in it for almost the last 5 years. If I switch from 87 with ethanol to 91 without any ethanol in it. what would be the benefits and would it be okay to do so? I know it is beneficial, I just don't know the benefits. Hoping some of you guys could tell me. Thanks guys!!!

I try to stay away from ethanol.. It burns quicker and I get less mpg.. When i get ethanol free gas it last longer and rides smoother.. Ethanol is a rip off.. Why pay 3.89 for half ethanol when i can pay the same for pure gas...

Truck will run better, smoother, increase in gas mileage, increase in performance, BUT it is more expensive, and pretty hard to find. I only have 2 stations in my area with 91. Can't find 93

I wish I could find ethanol free gas. I saw mine hit 21.5 mpg on the flat interstate in Mississippi a couple years ago.

http://pure-gas.org
Relies on you and other people to report, but very accurate, just the name of the station might be changed if it hasn't been updated in awhile.
I try to update my city as often as possible.

Thanks for the web site. I found a gas station in the city next to me about 10 miles away. Ill have to try it out, especially for my motorcycle.

I don't mind the 10% blend stuff but the e85 I won't touch anymore. The best I ever got on that crap was 12mpg. I only used it then as a test since at the time it was over $1/gallon cheaper. Around here it is the same price now. No more tax breaks.

I have always found the 91 or higher pure gas to be cleaner burning and provide better, although only 1-4 mpg better, but seems to run smoother and more responsive. I believe, opinion, that it is a more efficient fuel.
