Default Belt squeaks! help!!!

I'm speaking on behave of my friend who also has an 04 f150 without the supercharger, but does have CIA, Superchip, and flowmasters. He told me when he floors it from a dead start a belt squeaks when the truck shifts from first to second (he's still flooring it at that time). I rode with him to see if i knew what the problem, and I couldn't figure out what it was. So he was wondering how to maybe fix that problem.

Gatorback belt or underdrive pulleys or both.......

Or......... the cheapest fix would be to lower is 1-2 shift rpm or firmness or both

The squeak is coming from the fan belt slipping due to a big difference in rpm in a short period of time.

It's the tune that your friend is using on the SuperChip. Set it back to stock and see if it still happens.

So, even though the fan belt slips every once and a while. Is it a bad thing for the truck? Or should you not mess around with it and get the rpms lowered?...and how does he go about lowering them

Belt slipping isn't really going to hurt anything. If he is doing WOT shifting all the time it would be bad for his belt, but as far as the engine or ac compressor/alternator- they will not receive any damage from belt slippage.

Goodyear Gatorback belt will likely solve his issue, as I had the same problem and it solved mine cost was approx 30 bucks
