Hey just wondering if the bed extenders are the same from the 97-03 to the 04-08s? Need one and found a guy near me with one for sale but its from his 03, so, just checking! Thanks

I've seen some for sale that are from the 97-03 body style and to be honest they look EXACTLY like the one I just bought for my 05 (it came off an 08). I can't imagine them being wider/narrower, and the depth can't have changed. You will still need the mouting kit with grommets, its like $35 on ebay and consists of 4 plastic grommets and 2 star headed bolts with big washers that screw into the back of your bed. They look exactly like a door post striker, probably could get one from a junk yard. The bolt holes on mine were no threaded, so I just put a ratchet on the bolts and turned till it caught and made its own threads as it tightened in. Grommets go in easiest of you start them in the hole, then take a piece of 2x4 to place over it and wack it with a rubber mallet, that way you don't brake the grommet with the hammer.
