battery lite

Default battery lite

ive put a new battery,and a new alternator in 08...battery light still comes on..any help ?

check your battery cables, clean th battery posts. there could be some built up corrosion on the posts or on the cables.

maybe its a bad alternator? Did you buy it from Ford?

when did you replace the battery? was that recent, or with the alternator in 08?

if it was recent, then i would double check your cable from the alternator to the battery (it is a completely independant wire, and not part of the terminal connector) . i replaced mine once, and forgot to hook it up. so, then i bought a new alternator thinking my problem was actually a bad alternator. however, when i found the wire just sitting there, i felt like an idiot, but relieved at the same time.

anyhow, this was just a thought!
